After months of going back and forth on starting a blog for my own sanity I am here! I have found that some people think I am strange since I make food from scratch, make bath soap, laundry soap and do other things that would require "work." Why not make life easy and just buy stuff already processed and made for you? I like a challange! I enjoy making things that are better quality and better for us. Knit dishcloths last longer, clothes sewn on my machine don't fall apart after one wear, and veggies just taste so much better picked fresh from the garden.
I am a homeschooling SAHM living on an acreage and share it with my husband, son, a bunch of barn cats, 2 house cats, 2 dogs, 4 cows, chickens, ducks, and during this time of year skeeters. We also have a large garden, a house that is going through a complete remodel, and lots of opportunities for strange crap to happen.
When I do have a few moments of spare time which is not often I enjoy knitting, crocheting, sewing, making quilt tops, jewelry making, soap making, crafts in general, baking, cooking, and finding ways to save money and make life better for us.
